Early on, under a black background, we hear the protagonist saying goodbye to a girl he promises to visit later, and soon after we hear the ferry leaving. This is the story of Marc-Antoine, a boy who stays behind on the island of Corsica after the tourists return home at the end of the holidays. The next moments show the vacationing spaces of this island left empty by the tourists, who have returned home, that are now occupied by the locals, although some of them also consider leaving. This is the case of Marc-Antoine and a friend, who, while planning their return to the continent, take care of a series of playful moments to fill the emptiness of the boredom that has set as a means of goodbye. But Marc-Antoine seems unable to convince himself to abandon the routine in which he is settled, and postpones his departure from the island indefinitely. A candid metaphor of the fears and the inevitable transition into adulthood. This island serves as a kind of limbo that delays the farewell to youth and puts in suspension the future. This is the first participation of Sven Bresser in Curtas. (JA)
