Pierre, an old-fashioned bachelor, lives alone with his mother, who needs full-time care and assistance. Through the Internet, Pierre meets Olla, a free-spirited and confident woman, who moves in with him and his mother, starting a new life and ready for a new role – being Pierre’s wife, maid and the caretaker of his disabled mother. Without speaking the same language, the communication between them is difficult, and the attempts of physical contact are embarrassing. Olla, now dubbed Lola, to not raise even more questions, shows herself strangely complicit with her husband’s mother, with whom the difficulties of communication were expected to be double. She does not understand Pierre, nor what is expected of her in this new life which, after all, does not seem to be that different from the previous one. By returning to her origins, Olla will finally find her place. “Olla” is the first work of the actress and now also filmmaker Ariane Labed. (NM)
