Signed by Catarina Mourão, experienced Portuguese documentarist who already participated in previous editions of Curtas Vila do Conde, “O Mar Enrola Na Areia” is a documentary film that portrays the story of a well-known man who, for decades, wandered by the sand of the Portuguese beaches, having always in his possession a whistle and a photo album. Learning about this caricatural figure through her grandmother and friends that made him a subject of conversation during knitting, Catarina Mourão is interested in the memories of several generations.
