Curtas Pro: Selected Projects and Films

Curtas Vila do Conde announces the projects selected for Curtas Pro, the festival's program dedicated to industry professionals.

Over three days packed with activities, Curtas Pro offers a unique opportunity for filmmaking, bringing filmmakers closer to financing and distribution opportunities in an inspiring and productive environment. At the festival's heart, Curtas Pro will unfold from July 15th to 17th, promising three days of intense industry activity.


IN DEVELOPMENT


This activity has selected eleven projects from director-producer teams, emerging talents, and festival regulars, featuring Portuguese short films in early stages of development. These new and powerful projects combine artistic ambition with international potential.

ANIMATION CO-PRODUCTION MEETINGS


The Animation Co-Production Meetings present a careful selection of five new projects that celebrate the remarkable success and international recognition of Portuguese animation cinema. This dynamic forum brings together emerging talents and established directors with European producers and distributors, creating an environment conducive to co-production and financing short and feature-length films in the early stages of development.


Through dedicated pitching and networking sessions, participants can present projects that combine innovative artistic vision with international market potential.

This carefully selected section brings together works that combine innovative artistic vision with distribution potential, presenting them to a select group of festival programmers, artistic directors, sales agents, and distributors.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The First Impressions program offers a dynamic platform where emerging talent meets industry expertise. This program presents a discerning selection of five short films by young directors, ready to make their mark on the international film scene.


Renowned professionals in acquisitions, sales, and distribution will analyze the first minutes of these ambitious projects, providing valuable insights into their market potential and global distribution.
