Curtas’ Parties

At the end of the film screenings, starting on July 18th, the official parties of the 32nd Curtas Vila do Conde take place at Café Concerto of the Municipal Youth Center (Av. Júlio Graça, 4480-672 Vila do Conde), from 11 PM to 4 AM.

DJ Sérgio Gomes | BREAKS lda.

Sérgio Gomes, born in 1977 in Porto, developed a taste for music from an early age, recording mixtapes on cassettes and experimenting with rudimentary DJing techniques until he ruined the family turntable. Influenced by the English music scene, particularly breakbeat, UK garage and house, he was always attracted to music that deviated from the mainstream.

While studying at the University of Porto, he co-founded Age&See with João Pedro Santos (Vivax), DJing and organising parties in Porto and Braga. In 2006, he founded BREAKS lda., bringing influential British breakbeat and garage artists to Portugal. He has performed at various clubs and festivals in Portugal and Europe. He has collaborated with Curtas Vila do Conde IFF since 2001 and is a founding member of Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival in 2013.

DJ Alfredo | Sensible Soccers

DJ Alfredo is Hugo Gomes, founding member of Sensible Soccers, music promoter for over 20 years through his radio programs on RUC and Yé Yé Radio, and his DJ sets a little everywhere, with emphasis on his residency at the mythical Passos Manuel, in Porto.

DJ Ana Pacheco

Ana Pacheco stands out as a DJ for her uniqueness and constant evolution. With a background in radio and programming, she is known for her ability to mix unusual and obscure genres, challenging the conventional norms of dance music.Each of her DJ sets is an immersive journey in which she skillfully guides the audience, creating atmospheres that unfold slowly until they reach carefully calculated moments of greater intensity.

Her career has spanned genres as diverse as hypnotic trance, early electronica, techno and post-punk, transforming the dance floor into a space of constant discovery. An essential name in Porto's current dance music scene, Ana Pacheco promotes musical diversity alongside her work as a programmer and psychologist.
