Curtas Vila do Conde was invited to integrate the programme La Factory des Cinéastes, promoted by the Cannes Directors' Fortnight, this year dedicated to the North of Portugal.

Four Portuguese filmmakers and their guests will have their world premiere in Cannes, in May, and their national premiere at Curtas Vila do Conde, in July. They are André Guiomar (PT) and Mya Kaplan (IL); Mário Macedo (PT) and Dornaz Hajiha; Melanie Pereira (PT) and Alex Mironescu (RO); and Mariana Bártolo and Guilherme Garcia Lopez (ES).

The programme is supported by the Cinema and Audiovisual Institute, RTP, Filmaporto – Film Commission, Porto and Guimarães City Councils, Portuguese Short Film Agency, Curtas Vila do Conde and Olho de Vidro association.
