Applications for short films are now open for the 16th edition of Euro Connection, which will take place on 6 and 7 February 2024 as part of the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival's Short Film Market.

Euro Connection is a platform that aims to support partnerships between European producers and distributors in the production of short films. Producers wishing to submit a project to Euro Connection must send their application via email by 20 October 2023 to their country's representative. In Portugal, the associated festivals are Curtas Vila do Conde and IndieLisboa.

All projects must fulfil the following requirements:

- be an animated short film, fiction, creative documentary, VR project;

- the duration must not exceed 30 minutes;

- the project must have part of its funding guaranteed by a third party (external source);

- the project must be open to international co-productions (suitable or intended for co-production);

- shooting or production must not begin before June 2024.

A European jury, made up of industry professionals from different nationalities, will even choose the projects to go through to the final and present their pitching during the festival. The list of finalists will be released to the winners by the beginning of December 2024.
