The film, with photography by Joana Silva Fernandes and sound by Miguel Coelho, has as its lead actors Afonso Gregório, Simão Bernardino and Lionel Santos, inhabitants of the place where it was filmed, and is promoted and distributed by Agência - Portuguese Short Film Agency. In 2020, "Through the Haze" had already been awarded Best Film in the National Competition of Curtas Vila do Conde.

With the first edition in 1946, preceded by almost a decade of preparation for the festival, Cannes was shaped by the post-war period and, from its beginnings, presented the clear goal of encouraging the development of cinematographic art in all its forms, creating and fostering collaboration among all film-producing countries.
