The program, which takes place in two phases, will be held at Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, in Portugal, from July 13th to 19th, 2025, and at FeKK - Ljubljana Short Film Festival, in Slovenia, from August 17th to 24th, 2025.

• Hava Masaeva (Belgium/The Netherlands)

• José Emilio González Calvillo (Mexico/Spain)

The workshop will be led by Leonardo Goi, a film critic and editor, as well as a contributor to publications such as MUBI Notebook, Senses of Cinema, The Film Stage, Reverse Shot, Film Comment, and Filmmaker Magazine. Goi also coordinates the Berlinale Talent Press and the Critics Campus at the Golden Apricot International Film Festival in Yerevan, Armenia.

The 7th edition of the European Film Critics Workshop is organised by the European Network for Film Discourse (The END) and Talking Shorts magazine, with the support of the European Union's Creative Europe MEDIA programme. The project has the collaboration of eight European short film festivals: Filmfest Dresden (Germany), Vienna Shorts (Austria), Curtas Vila do Conde - International Film Festival (Portugal), Lago Film Fest (Italy), FeKK - Ljubljana Short Film Festival (Slovenia), Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival (Romania), Kortfilmfestival Leuven (Belgium) and Vilnius Short Film Festival (Lithuania).
