'
Bruce Conner's "The White Rose" documents the extraordinary task of removing artist and close friend Jay DeFeo's painting from her second-story studio in San Francisco. Jay DeFeo started the painting in 1957. When the unfinished painting was removed eight years later, it weighed over 2.300 pounds.
