Lúcia Prancha, whose work has become a familiar presence in this competition, invites us in “Imatges D'Obreres” to immerse ourselves in archives of peasant women from Latin America and Catalonia. Bringing together images of Catalan peasant women and footage drawn from the history of cinema itself, the film evokes moments of rest while foregrounding the fundamental role these women played in agricultural life, paying tribute to contributions that have so often remained invisible.
