Thirst attempt in the fascinating but very short filmography of Jean Vigo (1905-1934), "A Propos de Nice" is an example of Surrealistic aesthetic, though in a powerfully and heterodox way, more spontaneous than reflexive, connected with a formal liberty quest which refuses the stablished rules. Its second title 'documented point of view' makes clear its denouncement intentions, its evident ideological engagement that puts it apart from 'canonic' Surrealism.
