The only film made by Genet, 'Un Chant d'Amour' only circulated, for many years, between film archives and collectors, having been commercialized only in the 80's. Situated in the all-men world of a prison, intensely erotic, full of voyeurism and onanistic ghosts, it is a cinematographic poem, only possible by a man out of the cinema world. In his last years of life, Genet forbade its exhibition in homosexual festivals.
