Pommes d´amour is an art [VID] Video in 3 acts, and consists of film samples from "Hiroshima mon amour" by A.Resnais, and "Summer Interlude" by I. Bergman. The film material is re-edited and mirrored in the middle of the image, creating new pulsing forms that change the meaning in relation to the image. The original sound is replaced with self composed music and rewritten dialogues that are lipsincked by computer generated voices. - As a motivation I wanted to alienate the audio-visual aspect of classical cinemafootage into a new personal story. I am interested in the film language and how it affects us: its aesthetics, thematics, drama and rules. Using this method, a strong audiovisual atmosfere was caused and, with cautious redirection of the original visuals, sound and script, developped into a very direct poetic language. The title "Pommes d´amour" is a wordgame around the theme of the film, love: wether it is about obsessive love, narcissisme, homosexuality or sorrow.
