This is a story of a broken tin toy soldier with wiry springs protruding out of where his limbs should be. He sets out to find the rest of him, which is strewn throughout. After quite the journey to rebuild his body, he finds himself in a box wrapped up as birthday gift. A boy opens his gift, to find the doll. He shakes it roughly like little boys do and the poor toy soldier falls apart rolling on the wooden floor, now a broken toy soldier...again.
