“Beach Boys in London” is a rare document on the Beach BoysUK tour in 1966. The film features the band in its peak: Brian Wilson stayed in LosAngeles to finish recording SMILE, leaving the band to fly to London by populardemand. Recorded at London's Royal Albert Hall on 9 January 1970, “Led Zeppelin Liveat Royal Albert Hall” is an exemplary example of what a concert film should be. Notitles or credits, just 100 minutes of the British band at their peak, including athirteen-minute drum solo by John Bonham. Shot three months after their second LPhad been released, the film highlights Whitehead's expert on-the-hoof camerawork andinspired editing. “Pink Floyd in London” it’s a record of Pink Floyd’s recordingsessions for “Tonite Let’s all make Love in London” soundtrack. The film featuresfootage of the band, then helmed by soon-to-vanish Syd Barret, playing at thestudio, at the UFO club, and at the “14 Hour Technicolor Dream”, an event thatincluded a performance by Yoko Ono (John Lennon watched from the audience).
