“Cloudy Insulin” depicts a nursing student demonstrating the proper handling of different types of insulin, from the correct dosage to its injection. In partial profile the protagonist looks into the camera. Her performance is documented on two screens: on the left-hand screen she begins by quoting the standard procedures and the preparation of the syringe. On the right-hand screen she gazes with a blank expression into the camera. Back on the left, certain words, such as nurse, needle, insulin, etc., are replaced successively with laughter ranging from chuckling to howling. The substituted words turn up on the right-hand screen, and the demonstration on the left-hand screen is increasingly drowned out by laughter; it is gradually reconstituted on the right.
