Simon Schäfer aka "der Warst" presents an audiovisual live performance by operating a laboratory of circuit bent: Audio and [VID] Video hardware such as consumer keyboards, Super Nintendos, etc. An abstract film as well as its respective soundtrack will be produced in realtime. The show is based on improvisation, not even the performer knows what might happen next. Simon Schäfer studied sculpture and media art at the “Hochschule für Gestaltung” in Offenbach, Germany. Since 2000 he is playing music as “der Warst” with an ever-growing laboratory of modified instruments. In 2007 he developed an audiovisual live show “amah-intend” which he presented at the “European Media Art Festival 2008” in Osnabrück and the “Bent Festival 2008” in Los Angeles.
