Bhavini’s dreams reach far beyond the slum neighborhood she lives in. She wants to become a dancer. Whatever it takes. Every, evening she practices the latest Bollywood dance steps. But since her father died two years ago, money is tight. Her mother works as a beautician for big Indian weddings. her small salary is barely enough for food and rent for the one room apartment the family lives in. A dance class is out of the question. But Bhavini is helping out wherever she can: She cooks, cleans and assists her mother during the weddings. She is saving all her money because she really wants to join a dance school. She hopes that she is good enough to pass the though auditions.
