On March 19 1958, António Esperança writes to Armanda Esperança, from the colonial war. Today she owns a craftwork shop in the historical center of Viana do Castelo, a small town in the north of Portugal. It’s the eve of Senhora d’Agonia annual festivities. With them returns a way of life that no longer exists. And for Armanda, the director’s grandmother, a past more personal than collective.
