In Caxinas (Vila do Conde), one of the largest fishing communities in the country, there are people seeking to materialise the April revolution in a local development association and in fishing cooperatives. Three years after the revolution, the experiment is followed by a crew from the film cooperative “Grupo Zero”, led by the filmmaker Ricardo Costa. Costa fixes in “Born from the Sea”, and for the Directorate-General of Permanent Education, these efforts to reduce the economic and social inequalities in organisations that, we now know, would end up not thriving.
