While the actors repeat their lines, the off-screen director gives instructions and each scene seems to acquire meaning, only to be interrupted by the next sequence. This is a series of incomplete, failed scenes which nevertheless becomes meaningful as a whole in exploring the confrontation between the actors and the orders of the director. With each individual attempting to direct the representation of reality in their favour, these slight variations unsettle the scene, moving forwards then backtracking, through a particular use of intonation or the magnitude of a gesture, as in a game. This film marks the return to the Curtas Festival of the author of “Person to Person”, a film about a character who wakes up the day after they gave a party with a guest who doesn’t want to leave, which won the Vila do Conde Grand Fiction Prize in 2014.
