Wrapped in a dystopian sci-fi atmosphere, “Não-Tempo” is a movie that Francisco Duarte develops over several points on a journey. The artistically processed images – using surveillance cameras or photographs, for example – constantly remind one of Chris Marker’s “La Jetée”, which “Não-Tempo” seems to pay homage to. In the temporal and spatial void, Duarte seems to be seeking some philosophical or metaphysical need for permanent travel. (PC)
