In 2009, Kodak announced that it would discontinue the Kodachrome film due to declining demand. It was an entire era that ended with this decision. Kodachrome was a type of film extensively used due to the vibrant colors that it provided, creating almost ethereal visual effects. In this short film, Jay Rosenblatt uses archival material to create a narrative of Kodachrome images that evoke a bygone era, almost in a nostalgic way. It is true that the images also allow us to see a specific timeframe, filled with cultural codes - many of these excerpts show women as happy housewives. The memory of Kodachrome is a happy one, which Rosenblatt ironically smears with the last sequence of the film, also filmed with this type of film: the death of John F.
