Clemens von Wedemeyer returns to Curtas after his participation in the exibition “Aventura Antonioni” in 2014, and after presenting films in competition over different years of Curtas Vila do Conde. “Transformation Scenario” is a film that interrogates the modes of production of virtually simulated human behaviour, both in cinema and video games. At present, virtual simulation is justified in itself as an essential process for the understanding and progress of knowledge around all the areas that circumscribe the socio-economic life in the cities: architecture, urban planning, traffic navigation, the state of the financial market forecasts, economic development, among other areas. What we see in “Transformation Scenario” is not just a social study on the simulation of human behaviour in the context of groups and crowds. On the contrary, this analysis carries with it another meaning, a narrative speculation about the impact of crowds as catalysts agents for social and political transformation. (PD)
