With its vibrant colors, fast pace and acapella version of Ravel’s “Bolero”, “Mondo Domino” transports us to a chaotic and visually deafening reality. The logging of trees for the décor of a fashion show triggers off a fire and causes panic among the audience, which in turn runs to the outside. The confusion leads to the looting of groceries, violence, and total chaos, with the media contributing to the spread of fear. The conveyed message is simple: “Humankind is its own worst enemy”. With a satirical tone, “Mondo Domino” is a parodic tragicomedy in 2D animation, directed by Suki, debuting at Curtas. (Laura Jesus)
