After its world première at the most recent edition of the Directors’ Fortnight at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, the movies from the North Portugal project now arrive in Portugal, where they will be screened at Curtas’ opening ceremony. The “La Factory des Cinéastes” initiative (which, since 2013, has already highlighted other regions of the globe, such as Taipei, South Africa, Chile, Tunisia, or Lebanon) promotes a creative dialogue between young Portuguese directors based in the North of the country and foreign director that developed projects in a collaborative process of scriptwriting and direction: André Guiomar and Mya Kaplan (Israel); Mário Macedo and Dornaz Hajiha (Iran); and Mariana Bártolo and Guilherme Garcia Lopez (Spain).
