Dedicated to celebrating the unique relationship between humans and dogs, this session brings together a selection of films that, through humor, emotion, and animation, highlight the special place dogs hold in our lives. The program includes works from different eras and styles, ranging from animated classics to silent films, offering an entertaining and intergenerational experience for audiences of all ages.

Among the films to be screened are “I Want a Dog” by Sheldon Cohen; “Feast” by Patrick Osborne; “Just Dogs” by Burt Gillett; “Mail Dog” by Charles A. Nichols; “Guide Dog” by Bill Plympton; and the classic “A Dog’s Life,” directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. In many of these films, dogs take center stage and become the true stars of the stories, driving narratives filled with humor, tenderness, adventure, and emotion.

In a relaxed and pet-friendly atmosphere, the gardens of the Vila do Conde Memory Center will be transformed into an open-air movie theater, creating the ideal setting for an evening dedicated to friendship, loyalty, and the bond between people and animals.
